- The economics of making things from CO2 is more challenging than the technology itself. It's caught my attention, and I'm bullish on making it work.

- I had a brief stint with the Antikythera Mechanism, a 2000 year old computational device found in a shipwreck, that led me Alexandria and Athens.
- The Egypt section of the trip needed its own section.
- I do not like chocolate at all, but I used to. I tried sussing out why.

- This led to the question: how do we actually make hydrocarbons at scale with alternate feedstock? A new synthesis pathway wouldn’t be worth much with the large-scale engineering to produce the material/gas/fuel. I spent time making Hydrogen at Terraform Industries to understand this better.
- Started Plasticlist with Nat Friedman to quantify the amount of endocrine-disrupting chemicals in food. This project concluded a year and a half of independent research focused on replacing LDPE in food-packing with Gelidium. My conclusion is that though it is impractical to try and ban or replace the material altogether, it does seem necessary to study EDC’s more to establish a total daily intake limit in children, adults and pregnant women. I also helped Bryan Johnson and friends at Praan and Curview study contaminants.
- I worked at IIT-M in high school to study fetal memory development. Isn’t it interesting that unborn babies can form memories even though their brains do not have any cell differentiation yet at 17 and 21 weeks? I was looking into the anatomical basis of this.
